Practice Fame

Privacy Policy

Effective 19 September 2026

Practice Fame points a camera and a microphone at you and sends what they capture to an AI so it can react. That deserves a plain explanation. This policy describes exactly what the app processes, where it goes, how long it is kept, and what you can do about it.

The short version

1. Who we are

Creativ Digital ("we", "us") is the data controller for Practice Fame. You can reach us at office@creativdigital.ro.

2. What we process, and why

Your account

You sign in with Google. From that we receive and keep your Google user ID, name, email address and profile photo URL. We use them to identify your account, show your name and photo in the app, and tie your minutes to you rather than to a device. Legal basis: performing our contract with you.

Your live session — camera and microphone

While you are live, the app captures your microphone in short clips (about four seconds) and, when something in the picture changes, a small still frame from the camera (about 384 pixels wide — roughly one every few seconds, not a video stream). Each clip and frame is sent over an encrypted connection to our server, which passes it to Google's Gemini model on Google Cloud (Vertex AI) with an instruction to write audience comments. The generated comments come back to your phone.

Legal basis: performing our contract with you — this processing is the service.

Content safety

The AI applies safety rules to what it is shown. If it refuses to process your input, your live ends and we record on your account that it happened, when, and the category of the refusal. We keep this count to act on repeated misuse. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in keeping the service safe and lawful.

Minutes, purchases and usage

We keep your minutes balance, the seconds you have used each day, and a purchase ledger containing a hash of the Google Play purchase token, a hashed account identifier, the pack, minutes and credit date. Older purchases may also have an order identifier stored on the account. These records let us credit minutes exactly once and answer billing questions. The hashed account identifier is also sent to Google Play during checkout to bind the purchase to your account. Payment itself is handled by Google Play; we never see your card details. Legal basis: performing our contract with you, and our legitimate interest in preventing purchase fraud.

Crash reports and usage analytics

The app uses Google Firebase Crashlytics, Analytics and Performance Monitoring. They send Google: crash stack traces; device model, OS version and app version; a Firebase installation ID (a random identifier for this install, not tied to your Google account); app-start and network timing; and a small set of named events such as which platform layout you practiced, how long a live ran, whether a purchase completed and whether a report was filed. Events carry no names, emails, comment text, audio or images. The advertising ID is disabled and never collected. Analytics data is retained by Google for 14 months, crash data for 90 days. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in keeping the app working and understanding how it is used.

Reports you send us

If you report a session from the live screen ("Report this session"), we receive the reason you chose, anything you typed, the last comments the AI audience produced, its one-line summary of the session, your room settings, the app version and your account ID. No audio or video is included — none was kept. We use reports to review and improve the audience's behaviour, and keep them until reviewed and for up to 12 months afterwards. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in keeping the service safe, and Google Play's requirement that AI-generated content can be reported in-app.

On your phone only

The following never leave your device: recordings you make with the record button (saved to your Movies folder), the display name, username and photo you choose for the live screen, and your saved room settings. Uninstalling the app removes them, except for recordings, which stay in your gallery.

3. What we don't do

4. Who receives data

Because Google processes data for us in the United States, your data is transferred outside the European Economic Area. Google Cloud's Data Processing Addendum incorporates the EU Standard Contractual Clauses to safeguard those transfers.

5. How long we keep it

6. Your rights

Under the GDPR and similar laws you can ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to its processing, or hand it over in a portable format. Email office@creativdigital.ro and we will respond within a month. You can also complain to your data protection authority; ours is the Romanian National Supervisory Authority for Personal Data Processing (ANSPDCP).

You can delete your account in the app — Settings → Delete account — or request deletion on this page. It removes your account data and forfeits any remaining minutes. The minimal hashed purchase ledger described above is retained to prevent duplicate credits.

7. Children

Practice Fame is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you put a child on camera during a live, you are responsible for having the right to do so; the AI is instructed not to describe children beyond a greeting. If you believe a child has used the app without permission, contact us and we will delete the account.

8. Other people on camera

If someone else appears in your camera or is heard on your microphone while you are live, their image and voice are processed in the same way as yours, for the same purpose, and are likewise not stored. It is your responsibility to make sure they are happy to be there.

9. Security

All traffic between the app, our server and Google is encrypted in transit. Our server holds no copy of your media. Access to our database is limited to the service itself and to us, for support.

10. Changes

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will tell you in the app before the change takes effect. The date at the top tells you when it was last updated.
